Notre Dame Grad Student Lifting Spirits Through Music

Emorja Roberson is the first African American to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at Notre Dame, and serves as the Choral Director for the Voice of Faith Gospel Choir.

Last May, he penned a song called “He’ll Be With You.

At the beginning of 2020, he felt a calling to record the song, and taped a music video for it featuring singers from Michiana on March 2, just days before the coronavirus pandemic really hit the U.S.
