17-Year-Old Ohio Student Graduates College Before Finishing High School

Cameron Ray, 17-year-old from Warrensville Heights, Ohio has recently earned his Associate’s degree from Cuyahoga Community College. The makes him the youngest student from the city of Warrensville to ever earn a college degree before graduating high school.

Ray was able to achieve such an amazing accomplishment though a program called Ohio College Credit Plus. It’s a recently implemented program that allows students in grades 7 through 12 to earn college credits.

Speaking to local media outlet about his history-making accomplishment, Ray had this to say:

“Everyone is usually pretty surprised when I tell them I’m only a junior in high school. I’ve learned that sometimes it’s the best things in life you’ll be fearful of. But you’ve got to push yourself and get acquainted.”
