
Most NBA players are know for living lavish lifestyles filled with the finest luxury cars, clothing, jewelry, and mansions. But we also know that most Athletes go broke soon after their career is over, Jayson Tatum says he will not end like them.
Tatum, A 21-year-old rising star in the NBA has saved all 7.38 million salary from the Celtics this season. He discussed his financial gameplay with Maverick Carter Uninterrupted’s “Kneading Dough.”
“All the money I get from the Celtics, I put it in a savings account,” said Tatum, via CNBC.
Although Jayson Tatum saves every penny of his NBA salary, he’s still able to live lavish from his endorsements deals. Tatum always thanks his mother Brandy Cole for his financial guidance. Don’t get it twisted though, after being drafted, he brought his mother a brand new Escalade and a Range Rover for himself. His quality of living isn’t compromised at all. Tatum said most of his extra money goes towards nice clothing because he likes to look good.
This an amazing feat for an athlete. A good sound financial education is something we all need to study and teach our children. Jayson Tatum is a great role model and I hope he continues to have long term success in his NBA career.
