Meet Evan Swain, and just 17-years-old, Not only is she graduating high school this spring, she’s graduating college as well.
She was able to make this happen through a dual enrollment program that she started after ninth grade.
But that’s just the beginning of her accomplishments.
Evan is graduating Shiloh High School as an honors student and she is a member of the Spanish Honor Society and BETA Club. She is also a competitive swimmer, Girl Scout, lifeguard and certified babysitter, and volunteers at church as an assistant Sunday school teacher. Amazing!
Even after all of that, she managed to be awarded an associate degree in general studies at Georgia State Perimeter.
Her mother, Teddie, said she knew that anything her daughter put her mind to, she could achieve.
“We’re very proud of her. It’s a lot of work,” Teddie Swain said.
What’s next for this young phenom? She is attending the University of Georgia in the fall, where she plans to complete their Double Dawgs Program where she will earn her bachelor and master’s degrees in early childhood education in three more years.
Her dream is to teach first grade at the same elementary school she attended.
This is black girl magic!!!
