Marie Jean Pierre a devoted Christian who refused to work on Sundays because she loved going to the church was fired from her job as a hotel dishwasher.
The Florida woman was awarded $21 million after suing her former employer citing religious discrimination.

Marie Pierre worked as a dishwasher for a Hotel from 2006-2016 a long 10 years, Her employer was very aware that she loved to take Sundays off so she could go to church and it prevented her from doing that. Her bosses still went on and scheduled her to work on Sundays.
after weeks and weeks of trading shifts with her co-workers, her employer still demanded that she comes in Sundays when she refused for six-weeks her employer went on a fired her.
Then Pierre went on a filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, She went on to Sue the Conrad claiming “Defendant retaliated against Plaintiff
Pierre won big the federal jury ordered that the hotel pay her $36,000 for lost wages, $500,000 for emotional anguish and $21 million in punitive damages.
