Dolly Parton amassed substantial royalties from Whitney Houston’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You.” Originating from Parton’s pen, the song gained prominence when Houston performed it for the soundtrack of the 1992 film “The Bodyguard.” Parton revealed that she directed these earnings towards purchasing property in a Nashville neighborhood predominantly inhabited by Black families.
