Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, joins the cast of the upcoming Lion King prequel, “Mufasa.” Directed by Barry Jenkins, known for “Moonlight,” the film delves into Mufasa’s origin story and his childhood with brother Scar. Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. voice the younger versions of Mufasa and Scar. Beyoncé, reprising her role from the 2019 remake, will also feature in the film, which will include original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of “Hamilton.”
