New York will soon honor the late Cicely Tyson with a street renaming in Harlem. Following the passing of the legendary Tyson in January 2021, it has been decided that East 101st Street between 3rd and Lexington Avenues will be renamed.
The street naming was approved last summer by the New York City Council. The surrounding community is anticipating the event on September 17 2022 from noon to 5pm
