Heavily Pregnant Nurse, 28, Dies From Coronavirus But Medics Save Baby

This is the first picture of a pregnant nurse who died from coronavirus after medics tried to save her baby.

Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong, 28, underwent an emergency caesarean to deliver and save her baby daughter at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Sadly she did not survive and died on Sunday.

A GoFundMe page has also now been set up to help support her family – including her husband AJ and newborn daughter, named after her mum.

It has not been confirmed whether the baby has tested positive for the virus.

A message on the fundraising page described Mary as ‘loving, caring and irreplaceable’.
