Black-Owned Respiratory Care Business Is Hoping To Raise Funds To Purchase N95 Masks For Disenfranchised African American Communities

A Black-Owned Respiratory Care Business is hoping to raise funds to purchase N95 masks for disenfranchised African American communities. The latest  analysis of available state and local data shows that nearly one-third of those who have died in the United States are African American, with black people representing about 14% of the population in the areas covered in the analysis.

Entrepreneur Norma Joseph indicates that she would love to be in the position to offer her inventory at no charge but as a small business, she is unable to do so at this time. Instead, with every mask purchase, the funds will be used to purchase a large quantity of N95 masks in low income neighborhoods and PPE products for frontline workers.

KleanAir has recently received bad reviews online about this initiative-accusing the company of being racist against whites for only providing masks in poor Black Neighborhoods, but she is determined to raise awareness so that African Americans to protect themselves against this deadly virus.
