First Black Woman With A Disability To Earn Her Pilot’s License

Leslie Irby is the first in history to get a pilott licence with the disability.

She did not let her wheelchair hold her back from achieving her goals. At age 16 she started flying in local airports in Atlanta.

A devasting accident changed everything in her life at just seven years after her first flight, she was involved in a car crash that left her with a life long disability in 2013. The accident was so tragic that two people walked away from the collision, two were paralyzed and two died.
