Daily reminder that the most educated First Lady in American history is a black woman with two lvy League degrees from Harvard and Princeton .

Michelle learned to read at home by the age of four. Skipped the second grade and was taking classes in her school’s gifted program. In this program she learned French and finished accelerated courses in biology.

Michelle went to Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, the city’s first magnet high school for gifted children.
She graduated from the school as class salutatorian in 1981.

Michelle attended Princeton University graduating cum laude in 1985 with a B.A. in sociology. She studied law at Harvard Law School, where she took part in demonstrations calling for the enrollment and hiring of more minority students and professors. She received her J.D. in 1988.
