Amber Alert Issued for Missing 8-Month-Old Girl in Mesquite

An Amber Alert was issued Monday evening for an 8-month-old girl from Mesquite, authorities say.

An 8-month-old girl and her mother are the subjects of an Amber Alert issued Monday evening in Mesquite, police say.

Eight-month-old Nyla Crockett was last seen with her mother, 30-year-old Chernario Crockett, about 11 p.m. Friday on the 4800 block of North Galloway Avenue in Mesquite, according to a police news release.

Crockett was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans with black or brown boots.

A Texas Department of Public Safety Amber Alert flyer described the mother as a suspect in the case.

Law enforcement officials have not described the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 911 or Mesquite police at 972-285-6336.
