Black man serving life sentence for stealing hedge clippers granted parole.

According to reports, Fair Wayne Bryant, A 63-year-old Black man in Louisiana was granted parole after being charged with a life sentence for stealing hedge clippers over twenty ago.

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court reportedly declined to review the man’s sentence. But the Board of Pardons and Committee on Parole took another look and voted this past Thursday to release this man.

Bryant’s attorney says the man will be entering a program located in Baton Rouge that will help prisoners adjust to life upon being released from lock up. In time, Bryant will be allowed to live with his brother, who is located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The conditions of Bryant’s parole require him to be on curfew and attend AA meetings. Along with that, Bryant is required to complete community service.
