Beyoncé Pledges Another Million for Black-Owned Small Businesses

On September 4th which was Beyonce’s birthday she announced that she’s giving an additional $1 million that will go towards Black-owned small business through BeyGOOD.

BeyGOOD is a philanthropic organization from Beyonce designed to give back to her community.

The Black-owned Small Business Impact Fund was announced in July in partnership with the NAACP to empower and assist small businesses who have been negatively impacted by recent events. The first round of recipients, announced on August 18, included 20 Black-owned small businesses, ranging from tennis academies to barbershops. A $10,000 grant was distributed to these small businesses across the United States. 

After the successful first round, the organization has announced a second one will open this September. “Proud to announce $1M in additional funds from Beyoncé to help Black-owned small businesses. Round two of funding opens this month with our partner, NAACP,” BeyGOOD announced on Instagram on September 2.
