Angela Davis. Born Jan 26. A brilliant activist, civil rights leader and author. On the FBI’s Most Wanted list for crimes she didn’t commit, she fought and won her freedom with the truth and extraordinary intelligence. All Hail the Queen!

Angela Davis became a master scholar who studied at the Sorbonne. She joined the U.S. Communist Party and was jailed for charges related to a prison outbreak, though ultimately cleared. Known for books like Women, Race & Class, she has worked as a professor and activist who advocates gender equity, prison reform and alliances across color lines.

Angela Davis is a revolutionary icon. She fought against injustice for Blacks and other minorities that are oppressed. Truly a strong Black woman and with this post we honor you.
